Synergy+ Advanced Relay Interface – Integrated Wired & Wireless Alarm Control
The Synergy+ Advanced Relay Interface enables seamless integration between the Evacuator Synergy+ wireless system and fixed or third-party alarm systems. Operating on a secure 869MHz radio frequency, it allows alarms to communicate reliably across both wired and wireless environments.
When an alarm activates, the interface closes a normally open volt-free contact. As a result, connected systems can receive a zero-volt input without requiring direct power transfer.
Two-Way System Interaction
Unlike a standard relay interface, this advanced unit supports two-way alarm control. Specifically, it accepts a volt-free input from a fixed alarm system, which then triggers the Synergy+ wireless system.
Once the input is released, the Advanced Relay Interface sends a radio message to silence the connected Synergy+ devices. Consequently, users can silence both wired and wireless alarms from either system.
Because of this functionality, the interface is commonly used where a temporary Synergy+ fire alarm system must connect to a fixed alarm installation. This ensures consistent alarm behaviour across the entire site.
Local Audible & Visual Indication
In addition to system integration, the Synergy+ Advanced Relay Interface provides clear local alerts. It includes a built-in 100dB sounder and a flashing LED strobe, both of which activate simultaneously when triggered.
Therefore, site staff receive immediate confirmation that the relay has operated, even in high-noise environments.
Power Options & Wireless Reliability
The unit operates on a 4.5V battery, delivering up to three years of battery life, depending on usage. Alternatively, it can be powered by mains using the optional mains conversion kit, making it suitable for longer-term installations.
Furthermore, mesh radio connectivity and a Category One radio module help maintain reliable communication across the system. An anti-tamper antenna, along with a status LED and battery low indication, also supports secure operation and routine maintenance.
Installation & Application Notes
For ease of installation, the enclosure includes a 16mm cable gland for secure cable entry. This design supports clean integration with fixed alarm wiring while maintaining system integrity.

FAQs
- Q: How does the Synergy+ Advanced Relay Interface work?
- A: The device monitors inputs from either a fixed alarm system or the Synergy+ wireless system. When an alarm is triggered, it closes the normally open contact to send a signal. Simultaneously, the built-in 100dB sounder and LED strobe activate. Once the input is released, the relay sends a radio message to silence connected Synergy+ devices, allowing two-way control between wired and wireless alarms.
- Q: How does the device maintain secure wireless communication?
- A: The Advanced Relay Interface uses mesh radio connectivity and a Category One radio module, along with an anti-tamper antenna, ensuring reliable and secure communication between all connected Synergy+ devices.
- Q: How is the Advanced Relay Interface powered?
- A: It operates on a 4.5V battery with up to three years of life, depending on usage. For permanent installations, it can also be powered via the optional mains conversion kit.
