Synergy+ Relay Interface – Wireless Control & Device Integration
The Synergy+ Relay Interface allows wireless triggering of third-party devices using a secure 869MHz radio frequency. It is designed to manage automatically controlled equipment during an alarm event, providing reliable system integration without the need for hard-wired connections.
When the alarm activates, the Synergy+ Relay Interface closes the normally open volt-free contact. This output should be used as a zero-volt input, allowing connected equipment to respond immediately during an emergency.
Automatic Control During Alarm Activation
The Synergy+ Relay Interface supports automatic safety actions when an alarm sounds. For example, it can be used to drop power to a turnstile, allowing free-run access during a fire event. As a result, occupants can exit safely without manual intervention.
In addition, the device includes a built-in 100dB sounder and a flashing LED strobe. These activate simultaneously, providing clear local indication when the relay is triggered.
Flexible Power Options & Wireless Reliability
The Synergy+ Relay Interface operates on a 4.5V battery, offering up to three years of battery life, depending on usage. Alternatively, it can be powered via mains using an optional mains conversion kit, providing added flexibility for permanent installations.
Furthermore, mesh radio connectivity and a Category One radio module help maintain stable communication across the system. A clear Status LED and battery low indication also support routine maintenance and system checks.
System Compatibility & Application Notes
The Synergy+ Relay Interface is intended for triggering devices within the Synergy+ system. However, for connections into fixed fire alarm systems or other temporary alarm systems, the Advanced Relay Interface should be used instead.
