Synergy RF Automatic Heat Detector – Wireless Fire Detection for Site Alarms
The Synergy RF Automatic Heat Detector provides fast and reliable wireless fire detection for Synergy RF site alarm systems. Designed to respond to rising temperatures and fast flaming fires, it delivers early warning in environments where smoke detection may not be suitable.
This battery-powered detector integrates seamlessly into a wireless alarm network and can interlink with up to 40 Synergy RF devices, including call points, sounder strobes, and other detection units. As a result, it helps create a fully connected system that responds quickly across the entire site.
Early Heat Detection & System Activation
When elevated temperatures are detected, the Synergy RF Automatic Heat Detector activates all connected non-detector alarm devices. Therefore, sounders and strobes provide a clear, site-wide warning to ensure personnel can respond immediately.
Because heat detection is less prone to false alarms from dust, steam, or smoke, this device is ideal for environments where traditional smoke detectors may not be suitable.
Wireless Connectivity & Flexible Coverage
The detector uses built-in radio frequency technology to communicate with other devices across the system. It offers a range of up to 100m indoors and 400m in open space, allowing flexible positioning without the need for cabling.
In addition, a Category 1 radio receiver ensures reliable and stable communication between all connected devices, even across larger or more complex sites.
Simple Installation & Low Maintenance
Thanks to its completely wireless design, installation is quick and straightforward. The unit is designed for ceiling mounting and requires no wiring, helping reduce both installation time and labour costs.
Furthermore, the detector provides low battery and out-of-range warnings, allowing users to maintain system performance and avoid unexpected issues.
System Integration & Operation
The Synergy RF Automatic Heat Detector operates as part of a wireless alarm network and does not require a base station to interconnect with other devices. However, adding a base station can improve system monitoring, testing, and overall management.
Because of its flexibility, this detector is ideal for construction sites, warehouses, factories, and temporary buildings where environmental conditions may affect smoke detection.
Compliance & Manufacturing
Manufactured in the UK, the Synergy RF Automatic Heat Detector meets CE and UKCA standards, ensuring compliance with UK and European safety requirements. As a result, it provides a dependable and compliant solution for site fire detection.

FAQs
- Q: When should I use a heat detector instead of a smoke detector?
- A: A heat detector is ideal for environments where smoke, dust, or steam may be present, such as workshops or kitchens. The Synergy RF Automatic Heat Detector responds to temperature increases rather than airborne particles, helping to reduce false alarms.
- Q: Does the Synergy RF Automatic Heat Detector make a sound when activated?
- A: No. The detector itself does not emit any sound. Instead, it triggers all connected non-detector Synergy RF devices, such as sounders and strobes, which provide the audible and visual alarm across the site.
- Q: How far can the Synergy RF Automatic Heat Detector communicate with other devices?
- A: The detector has a wireless range of up to 100 metres indoors and up to 400 metres in open space>. This allows flexible placement while maintaining reliable communication across the system.
